A Family Favourite | Sweet & Spicy Meatballs

Sweet, spicy and perfectly saucy! These meatballs hit all the right notes and are a family favourite.

Ingredients:

  • 500g Premium Beef Mince or Pork Mince
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Garlic clove, minced (or easy minced garlic)
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Ketchup (tomato sauce)
  • 1/2 tsp Chili Flakes
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°c
  2. Mix ground beef, onion, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl until combined and form into meatballs of your desired size
  3. Place meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown (check they are cooked all the way through)
  4. In a pan combine brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, ketchup and chili flakes and simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened and smooth
  5. Toss the cooked meatballs into the sauce and coat evenly for a few minutes
  6. Serve and Enjoy!
